Mental Health is Important All Year Round

Mental health is on everyone's radar after Bell Let's Talk day. While it's nice to raise awareness with a campaign like Bell's, it is important to keep this conversation going all year round. Mental health is an important aspect of our overall wellness and one that I always ask about. Many people struggle with this at various points in their lives. Some seek help and some don't.

We often assume that someone who is struggling with their mood will look sad or worried on the outside, but this isn't always the case. Some people hide how they're feeling to protect their loved ones or because the emotions they are feeling are too difficult to process alone.

I urge anyone who is struggling to seek help. Tell someone you love, visit a therapist, seek out a Naturopathic Doctor, talk to your medical doctor, or call the Mental Health Helpline at 1-866-531-2600. There are options and resources available to help you through. You don't have to tackle it alone.
