I Love To Read: Cookbooks Edition

Updated: Aug 10, 2022

Remember in school when February was “I love to read” month?

Even though I’m not in school anymore, I still love to read. Anyone who knows me well has seen my nose buried in a book on more than one occasion. While fiction novels are my favourite (I couldn’t put down the Harry Potter series through the Fall!), I also love cookbooks! Although they are not typical reading material, I find them helpful when I get bored with my usual dinner menus.

I've listed 3 of my go-to's below:

1. Oh She Glows is full of plant-based recipes, many of which are also allergy-friendly. Bonus: The author, Angela Liddon, is Canadian!

Many recipes are also available at: https://ohsheglows.com/

2. Minimalist Baker is also plant-based; however, these recipes are contain less than 10 ingredients, use only 1 bowl, or take less than 30 minutes to prepare. Perfect for a busy work night!

Many recipes are also available at: https://minimalistbaker.com/

3. Yum and Yummer was recently recommended to me by a friend (how many great things are discovered) and I am in love. While there are many plant-based recipes, there are also recipes for meat dishes. Bonus: The author, Greta Podleski, is also Canadian!

Many recipes are also available at: http://yumyummer.com/

Do you have a favourite cookbook or website you use for new recipes? I would love to hear about it! You can send me a message through the "Contact" page.
