Introducing Fibro Fridays!
I LOVE working with people who have Fibromyalgia (FM) and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). I find these people to be incredibly inspiring and involved in their care. Despite having difficult experiences with the medical system, they are always willing to continue trying to get better and get back to the life they used to have. As a result of my passion for these conditions, I am deeming the 1st Friday of every month to be “Fibro Friday” on my Facebook page and blog. On “Fibro Fridays”, I will be sharing information and tips on living with FM/ME.
It’s hard to imagine what having FM/ME is like. Unrest is a great documentary (available on Netflix or from https://www.unrest.film/) that shows the everyday struggles of living with myalgic encephalomyelitis. In Unrest, Jennifer Brea documents her personal journey living with this condition. It is eye-opening and heart-wrenching to see what she goes through, and to realize that many people are undergoing a similar struggle. Check out the trailer below.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the documentary. You can send me a message through the "Contact" page.
